964 RS Recreation. Finished in Mint Green. Build carried out by Jasmine Motorsport back in 2008 using an unmolested and accident-free donor car with a full and complete service history which at the time had covered 107,000 miles. The car was supplied new by AFN Isleworth and first registered 01/08/1990. This particular example was one of the first created by Jasmine and featured shortly after completion in Issue 80 of GT Purely Porsche Magazine with the article title “Even better than the real thing!?. The magazine is supplied with the car as is a CD featuring a significant number of images which chronicle a build that was both extensive and exacting.

Given the marked uplift in 964 C2 Coupe values since 2008 combined with an equally substantial increase in the cost of executing such projects (now comfortably higher than the cost of acquiring a quality donor vehicle) opportunities of this quality and at this price point, are so rarely available.

In summary of the build:-

  • Engine/Gearbox/Windows removed and all paint bare metal stripped.
  • Rear half cage bolted in
  • All panels, roll cage and bodyshell painted Porsche Mint Green
  • Genuine RS rear bumper centre section fitted
  • Genuine RS front bumper fitted
  • RS mirrors fitted
  • 17″ genuine lightweight cup wheels fitted (9J x17″ET55 and 7J x17″ET55)
  • HID Xenon headlight upgrade fitted to new lights
  • New rear lights
  • New Rear centre reflector panel
  • Lightweight RS door panels with pull straps
  • Rear seats removed along with all carpeting
  • Carpets replaced with lightweight carpeting to RS specification
  • RS front luggage compartment carpet, bonnet stay and strut brace installed
  • Recaro Pole position bucket seats installed and trimmed by Southbound trimmers
  • 4-point harness (boxed) along with inertia belts
  • New Odometer fitted showing zero miles
  • Brakes upgraded to 993 braking system
  • Stainless Steel braided brake hoses
  • Suspension changed to full RS Spec ( Dampers, springs, top mounts, anti-roll bars, drop links)
  • Engine completely stripped and rebuilt ( Crankshaft and rods balanced and polished, new shells, pistons, piston rings, valve guides, timing chains and uprated 993 Turbo headstuds. Heads were polished and gas flowed)
  • Engine remap by Wayne Schofield at Chip Wizards to produce 291 BHP)
  • Oil pump
  • RS Clutch and Flywheel
  • Oil cooler
  • Central Exhaust box remove and through-pipe fitted.

Since the build the car has covered 17,000 miles. It’s been cherished, lightly used and stored properly. The engine remains sublime and leak-free and the car has been further improved with a sunroof delete, the installation of a genuine Porsche limited-slip differential, a genuine RS gearshift lever and selector linkage, wheel spacers, and a well-considered steering wheel.

Everything about this car shouts special and it presents in first-class condition throughout. We know the car well having supplied it to the previous owner back in 2018, a long-term customer and friend of 911Virgin it’s also known to a wider audience as being one of the finest 964 RS recreations available and arguably the best we’ve ever driven.

Supplied with the original service book and service pack, a large file of supporting invoices dating back 3 decades, historic MOT’s, Jasmine build spec documents, build CD, multiple keys and GT Purely Porsche Issue 80……What a car, what a colour scheme. !!!
