£18,995
986 550 Spyder Anniversary. 6 speed manual transmission. First registered 31/05/2004 04-Registration. Finished in GT Silver with full Natural leather interior (presents Black). A limited run car (1 of 1953 units worldwide) marking the 50th Anniversary of the Porsche 550 Spyder. Purportedly, 1 of approx 150 UK cars and as such a rare and numbered car. This particular example being number 1425 of 1953.
Factory changes specific to the 550 Spyder included a modified intake system, air filters and air vents from the then soon to be released 987 Boxster increasing BHP to 266bhp. The car sat of M030 sports suspension reducing ride height by 10mm. 18” light weight Carrera alloys from the equivalent aged 911 were painted Seal Grey with silver circumference filling the arches nicely with 5mm spacers. Additional changes specific to the 550 were silver alloy brake calipers, a chrome ‘Boxster S’ model badge and a unique “stacked” stainless steel exhaust tailpipe flanked with silver mesh grilles to the lower rear bumper vents. Litronic headlights with headlamp wash and Porsche Stability Management were a standard fitment.
The interior of the 550 Spyder was trimmed beautifully in either Cocoa Brown full leather or Natural Grey (Black) hide. The leather extended to both the dashboard and doorcards. Number 1425 was trimmed in Natural hide. The hard backed sports seats featured a perforated leather specific to both this model and the 996 Anniversary. Seat backs along with the centre tunnel, binnacle surround, climate control surround and dashboard trim were nicely finished in GT Silver. The leather sports steering wheel was borrowed from the 996 Turbo S, there were model specific kickplates, chrome instrument bezel surrounds, a model specific gearknob, a factory short shift gear selector and body-coloured GT silver roll over hoops.
Climate controlled air conditioning, heated seats, on board computer and an upgraded sound system were optioned. Electric windows/mirrors, power fold fabric roof, remote central locking and Thatcham Category 1 alarm/immobiliser were a standard fitment.
