964 RS Recreation. 5 speed manual transmission. Finished in Peppermint Green. A car well known to us and a wider Porsche enthusiast audience. One we’ve previously sold and arguably one of the best RS replicas available. The build, carried out in 2008 by Jasmine Motorsport, utilising an unmolested, undamaged donor vehicle with no stories and a full and complete service history. At that time, the donor vehicle had covered 107,000. Since then, over the ensuing 18 years, the car has covered a further 18,000 miles during which time its has been properly stored, cherished and exhaustively maintained.
Supplied new by AFN Isleworth and first registered 01/08/1990, this particular car was one of the first created by Jasmine featuring, shortly after completion, in Issue 80 of GT Purely Porsche Magazine, titled ‘Better than the rear thing?!‘….The magazine is included with the sale as is a CD featuring a significant number of images which chronicle a build that was both extensive and exacting. To summarise………..
- Engine, Gearbox, glass removed and bodywork bare metal stripped.
- Rear half cage bolted in
- All panels, roll cage and bodyshell painted Porsche Mint Green
- Genuine RS Centre bumper fitted
- Genuine RS front bumper fitted
- RS Cup mirrors
- 17″ Genuine lightweight cup wheels (9J x 17′ ET55 and 7J x 17′ ET55)
- HID Xenon Kit fitted to new front lights
- New rear lights and new rear centre reflector
- Lightweight RS door panels with pull straps
- Rear seats removed along with all interior carpeting. Carpets replaced with lightweight carpeting to RS specification
- RS Trunk carpet fitted along with front strut brace
- Original seats removed and replaced with Recaro Pole Position buckets trimmed by Southbound
- 4 point harness in addition to inertia belts
- New Speedometer fitted showing zero miles
- Brakes upgraded to 993 braking system
- Stainless steel braided brake hoses
- Suspension changed to full 964 RS Specification (Dampers, springs, top mounts, anti-roll bars, drop links)
- Engine completely stripped and rebuilt – crankshaft and rods balanced and polished, new shells, pistons, piston rings, valves, valve guides, timing chains and head studs. Heads polished and gas flowed
- Engine remapped by Wayne Schofield at Chipwizards to produce 291 BHP
- Sunroof delete
- Oil pump
- RS Clutch

- Central exhaust removed and Through-pipe fitted.
In recent years, previous owners, all known to us, have invested further in the car maintaining it to exacting standards. One of the best RS recreations out there and most certainly the best we’ve driven. Supplied with the original service book, supporting invoices dating back 4 decades, original service pack, historic MOT’s, Jasmine build specification documentation, a build CD and Issue 80 of GT Purely Porsche….What a car, what an opportunity.
